The VACC Scandinavia event team is pleased to welcome you to Oslo, OSL Mega Fly-in! This fly-in will take place at Oslo, Gardermoen Airport in Norway (ENGM) at February 25th 2006 from 17:00 - 23:00 UTC. We promise you a fly-in with skilled ATC's working in a control center at the FLg'06 webpage at Gardermoen. Like in real life, the ATC's are working in a group with workstations. The opening ceremony of the XX olympic winter games will be held on Friday, February 10th. To celebrate VATITA will offer ATC coverage over Turin and nearby fields, especially on Thursday, Friday and Sunday (9th, 10th and 12th), as well as at the end of the games. VACC Hungary proudly presents Budapest Overload 2006, which is just on the way! This event is the 3rd in the row of Budapest Overload series, and we hope it will be even more successful than the previous ones! The event will be held on Saturday October 7th, from 1000Z till 2200Z.

What can you expect? There is a sophisticated booking system available at your disposal, and you’ll get detailed briefing about your booked flights. There will be Assistant Controllers working beside the Executive Controllers to improve your enjoyment and to help to reduce delays, all gathered together in one room – with the work of a real life APP controller, too! You’ll also have the opportunity to use OCC and Live ATIS services again.

During the 12 hour period there will be 8 shifts, and in the peak times 12 controllers will take care of your arrivals/departures at the same time. The VACCHUN team expects more than 400 movements overall during the event.

On Wednesday, the 6th of December 2006 EDLL-FIR and The Dutch VACC presents the Interregional Fly In from 1830 - 2130 UTC.

3 regional airports and 2 countries, that´s it in this joint event! The Dutch VACC open Rotterdam Airport (EHRD) and Maastricht-Aachen (EHBK) Airport, the EDLL FIR open Duesseldorf-Weeze Airport (EDLV).

So come and join us at this great event and discover some of the regional airports of North-Rhine-Westphalia and The Netherlands!

Not only IFR traffic is welcome. Also VFR flights are appreciated and also recommended, because of the short distances between these three airports. The longest distance is less than 100 nautical miles.

Whether you are a more or less active pilot, I would like to get your attention for the following:

This year's global charity event: Fly For Kids!

For many of us, December is the month of joy, family gathering and happiness. For some kids it is not; it is just another month without basic supplies, heavy labor work, and a month without love and a sense of belonging.

EuroFly, an organization that committed itself to organize the greatest VA events in Europe decided to launch Fly For Kids - The Global Christmas Charity Event with the aim to raise funds for children's aid. It will take place on the 16th of December 2006 at many airports around the world.

All donations will go to verified Children's Aid charities of the sponsors choice. If no charity is specified donations will go to Unicef.

CAN I MAKE A FLIGHT

On Wednesday, the 2nd of May, Belux VACC and Dutch VACC will organise the RFI BeNeLux together, covering 3 regional airports of the low countries: Rotterdam Airport (EHRD), Luxembourg Airport (ELLX) and Groningen Airport (EHGG).

Pilots can expect these airports to be staffed between 17:30 and 20:30 UTC. It is recommended to fly between these airports but pilots may feel free to arrive or depart at any other airport of their choice. Flightplans, as usual, can be found in EUroute.

On Thursday, May the 3rd, the Dutch VACC and FIR Wien will organize a great City Pair event! Start of the event is at 1700 UTC and will end around 2100 UTC.

Full staffing on Wien and Amsterdam is provided off course, and we will try to get ATC all the way enroute as well! You can use one of the following routes between the 2 cities: EHAM-LOWW: ARNEM UL603 ESATI UL984 SULUS UZ650 VEMUT UZ37 BUDEX UZ205

VATeir are pleased to announce that we will be holding our second annual “Fly-In” and Get Together in the Clarion Hotel on Saturday the 18th of August.
This is a day for our Controllers to get together, and also, for you, the public to come along to see VATSIM on “the other side of the scopes”. We will also have a few PC’s displaying Flight Sim, so if you are not a member of VATSIM, and are interested in becoming one, this is the day for you.
We will have a number of people on hand to give you all the information you need to get set up on VATSIM and also we will have “Controllers” on hand to show the VATSIM and other FS pilots how the ATC side of things work.

The doors will open at 10AM and we will be finishing up at around 7PM. You are welcome to come freely throughout the day and spend as long as you want observing ATC and asking as many questions as we can answer.
We will have live traffic information displayed on projector screens and a Promotional Video will be made of the day.

Welcome to yet another Copehagen Realtime event. Once again we staff Copenhagen Kastrup to its neck and give you - the pilot - the opportunity to do it the real way - or even better.

This means arriving on time, and departing on your slot time, using a real world flight and the correct aircraft type. You'll get ATC all the way from Clearance Delivery up to one of our split center-sectors.

Last time we had almost 200 aircrafts to and from Copenhagen. This time we hope to break the 200-mark.

In order to participate you need to book a flight from the two booking pages (Arrival or departure). You can book a single flight or multiple flights and go back and forth like real pilots do. In order to book, wisit the event website; http://vaccsca.org/event/index.php

When you book you'll receive an e-mail containing information on your flight together with some notes on operations within Copenhagen. This information can also be read at the "pilot info" page. We kindly request that you read through this as it gives you important information on how to do it as real as it gets. This not only helps you as the pilot, giving you a nice and smooth flight, it also helps the ATC managing the traffic flow.A new set of SID/STAR was introduced at 30AUG07. We have made a pack of most important charts and a PMDG-file for you.

The Dutch VACC organises a new edition of it's famous Friday Nite Fly-in on Friday the 23rd of November. From 18:00 till 23:00 UTC, we will simulate all real traffic movements to and from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. And you, as a pilot, can be a part of that! The Dutch VACC takes care of full ATC staffing while pilots can reserve 1 or more flights in our reservation system. It is encouraged to book your flights in the system, and if you do, you will receive a briefing including the real world flightplan(s) of your selected flight(s) approximately 1 week before the event. New month, new IRFI! On Wednesday, the 6th of August there will be another edition of Interregional Airports Fly-in (IRFI). The IRFI is traditionally the night on which we forget all about Schiphol Airport completely and concentrate on the regional airports of The Netherlands instead! This month Maastricht-Aachen Airport and Charleroi (EBCI) will be staffed from at least 17:30 till 20:30 UTC.

The Dutch VACC welcomes all pilots visiting Dutch Open Skies, which is our last big event before the summer break! We are planning to give full ATC on Amsterdam Schiphol, and open our approach positions on the regional airports (Groningen EHGG and Rotterdam EHRD). Furthermore Amsterdam Radar will be open to guide you while you are en route through Dutch airspace.
